Palia
Why is this basic dress and coat outfit $20?
I cannot comprehend this logic.
The newest premium offerings in 1.8.9 are a $20 dollar basic dress with no details and no pattern and a basic coat with no details and no pattern, just some ugly metal necklace. And a $12 very detailed with many patterns and colors mining outfit.

Here's the catch tho, they added "free make up" to the game, so they had to add premium make up too.

The reason this trench coat dress set without any details, any patterns, just 3 pieces of clothing in boring colors is $20 is because it comes with... A BLACK WING EYELINER. How is this any different from selling men's deodorant for $2 and then slapping a pink label on it to call it lady deodorant so you can sell it for 6 dollars higher at $8? Is this the reawakening of the pink tax in digital goods?

This whole last patch is worse than the 5 before it which were just as bare and filled with premium content.

honestly already forgot about the free eyeliner because ive been busy staring at the stickers that cost between 100-200 coins like omg thats half the price of a cheap outfit or tool skin. no way neither should be more than 50 coins, if even that.

everyones eyeliner look the same when playing hot pot anyway and you dont see your character up close in anything other than cutscenes so it felt like a strange thing to put your focus on game play-wise. would have preferred some lipstick if anything

I have been shown the horrible pose that comes with this outfit (hips forwards, hands on hips in a very cringe way) which is the other half of what makes this outfit this overpriced lol
it did not get better...

I'm shocked and impressed there isn't a comment yet saying, "IT's JusT coSmEtIcS! no oNE is MAkiNG you BuY IT! It's NOt pAY to wiN! iF yOu don't LikE IT, Don't bUY IT!"
The problem is that each update is meant to fix bugs, but along with it they keep pushing new outfits (ugly ones at that), tool skins, plot backgrounds and other aesthetics that do little for the core gameplay. There's no new content aside from the most recent foray with Sabira into the four temples for a nameplate, but that's just S6 phoning it in. Adding new plushies is just a way to keep stringing players along. I mean, that's pretty obvious.

Coming from over 40 years of gaming experience, I've seen enough to say that this game is a mere drop in the ocean. S6 needs to get their act together and start expanding the landmass, the lore, the adventures, otherwise it's gonna sink like a stone. The writing is already on the wall.

It does feel like Palia is just being milked of whatever cosmetic profit it can produce before closing the game. Or maybe they'll just keep it open, add a couple of plushies a month, and then funnel the money they get to other more successful games they support. Wouldn't be the first time.

Definitely. They have tested their store mechanics, more than enough. Put more game play in so it can be tested.

It makes sense why S6 didn't put Palia in early access. Steam might put their new "Abandoned" label on it, if they had.
Had 4 bugs happen when i logged on today, so i just quit. Had enough of greedy devs
