Tools not working?

I switched to a tool like bow or fishing rod, and then it just do not appear on my hand and I cannot use it
Edit: problem solved, just press space to use the glider, and then tools come back.

I encountered this bug at least 2 times the past week. Seems to happen, if you approach the border of the map in some heights. Restart the game and it is working fine again. Changing server seems to help to. Just teleport to your home should do this.

I was having this problem playing on switch, and this is what I had to do to fix it every time. I just switched to PC and haven't noticed the issue yet, hoping it stays that way!

I've been having this issue multiple times I play, every single time I've played for the past several months, as a controller player on PC. My m/kb friend never did. Did the newest patch somehow spread the problem, that other people are suddenly reporting it?

I did not experience this specific bug when I was playing last year, around July to October. I spent 90+ hrs during that time and I never encounter this bug. And I am playing mouse and keyboard only.

Jumping and using the glider always works when you are stuck. 1000+ hours it worked.

I'm with w.gross. Works as a charm, everytime. But it's a very annoying bug.

I was hoping the update would fix this but it's still happening to me. *sigh* The flow trees in my home plots are fixed, though. That's something, I guess.

It is when an animation that doesn't have a tool in the model plays and then bugs out. To fix it you just need to run an animation without a tool, eg gliding, rolling or climbing.

This bug was introduced during the Lunar New Year update. It's cause by a miss processing of the tools coming and going as you do things like climbing and gardening. Deff frustrating. As you said the glider fixes it
