That kind of thing might be coming, but it'll be a long way down the pipeline.
You can visit their homes if they've registered for the weekly house tour. You can't change anything, and you can't see anyone else, but you can still visit.
I know what you're saying with this one. You want a way to give friends full edit permissions to your plots. This is fine if your friend is someone you know in real life, but I wouldn't suggest doing this with a stranger that you only know from the game.
