Jel just commented on another pin even tho Im only wearing his?

So uh, I just had dialogue where he asked me who the other pin belongs to, all heartbroken and stuff. But I keep all my other pins in the storage since I only wanna wear Jels. So how does that work lmao. Do I have to break up w Hodari and Reth for him to not make that comment anymore or do I have to delete the pins from my storage or sum? I also accidentally gave chocolates to Kenyatta once and broke up w her after, but when I had a convo w Tish saying, Kenyatta might have a crush on her, Tish replied she thought I had something going on with Kenyatta. Like I'm a little confused, is there anything I can do to fix this lmao, I'm literally only trying to stay w Jel in this game so if I can fix this mess of him thinking I'm wearing anybody elses pin, please let me know 😭 Or is it better if I just start all over again, only romancing Jel. Pls help

romancing other npcs dont matter in the long run, you might get comments but no one is going to hate you or break up with you over it. only the active pins should matter but the game cant seem to recognize whose you're wearing so dont sweat it honestly.
ive also noticed that dialogue gets muddled sometimes as i had zeki give me the weekly wants of a character i hadnt even gotten at that point. thankfully i already knew about them so it wasnt a spoiler but more so annoying since i wanted his you know.

Yeah u can but u can only make it official with 2 of them by wearing a pin.

They'll mention the pin once, unless you are constantly changing them, but that's all that happens.

You might as well romance everyone so you can collect the items they give you for completing their quests.

Ik romance in this game might not be in everyones interest, but it's one of the main reasons why I enjoy playing. I get to romance the character I love the most and build a bond w them, which is why this is such a big issue for me, Ik I could just romance everyone but that's not what I'm about, sorry.

I've seen a few people lament this but no solutions for it, OP, sorry to say. Starting over involves getting customer service involved to delete your character or straight up starting another account. I haven't seen anyone say they deleted the other pins or broke up with the other characters, so if it means that much to you and you don't mind losing the other progress that might be your go to (or wait until the next patch to see if it's a bug that gets corrected).

When I said "romance means nothing" I was talking about the way it works in-game. You can romance anyone at any time and no one else (in the game) cares about who you romance.

They might mention that you're romancing someone else, but after that they go back to being fully devoted to you.

The NPCs will never willingly break up with a player because you romanced someone else.
