I honestly have no idea what they spent their budget on because the development for this game is the slowest I've ever seen. Things are done at a snail's pace.
Assets for Elderwoods, the next zone, were datamined over a year ago, and they just pushed back the release to Q2 of this year meaning we're *still* another couple months out from receiving any kind of new meaningful content.
It's going to need to be a near flawless update to save this game.
thats so unfortunate, cuz during release and trailers the game looked so promising but now its living on events and premium clothing releases. I wish the company just wasnt or didnt become so money hungry along the way cuz thats what its looking like now instead of the company being invested in making the game good/better (I still get the same bugs I got last year from last time I played the game hahah)
I'm one of the biggest supporters of the game on the Steam forums, and that is exactly the same sentiment I have.
There's only so much even the hardestcore of fans will put up with before they drop the game for something else, especially with all these new "cozy" games getting released this year.
They need to start picking up the pace of actual content releases, or the game won't make it through 2026.
