Bahari Bay coast, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, using glow worms.

I catch one or two every week when I do my fishing weekly task.

I do that already.. did that for 2 months now
RNG is a cruel master. Some people get it in an hour, some people farm for months and never see it. I'll cross my fingers for you, but unfortunately, all you can really do is keep fishing for it and hope the proverbial roll of the dice falls in your favor.

^^This. RNG is the beast that it is. The only comfort is knowing you're doing nothing wrong and it's just "a matter of time". Good luck my friend!

I remember when I caught one the first time and then cooked it by mistake. Mad Dawg's system is the best to catch one again. Make sure you have the "Exquisite Rod" installed.

if you're trying to catch the unicorn fish for unlocking the ancient fish, just find a spot on the east coast of bahari and just stay there and repeatedly cast between 6am and 6pm.. make sure you have glow worms as bait. You should be catching stuff like black sea bass, yellow fin tuna, cactus moray, blue spotted ray, and the long nosed unicorn fish..

If you're catching ribbontail ray, it's either too early or too late.. and if you're catching anything else, you're using the wrong bait.

You don't need to run from school of fish to school of fish.. those are for catching star quality. You can just cast into any still water and catch normal quality that will be sufficient for completing the quest. By eliminating running around, you can get a lot more casts in and increase your chances of finally catching it..

and then good luck with the ancient fish. I would recommend using anything that increases the safe zone and/or speeds up the movement.. the ancient fish is VERY BIG. It's almost the size of the unbuffed safe zone, so any movement it makes he's instantly out of the zone and it's hard to get him back in.. give yourself as much room as possible. I also found it easier to catch him from the shore rather than an elevated position like the docks..

You are right, i catch tons of black sea bass, yellow fin tuna, cactus moray, blue spotted ray between 6am and 6pm, just not the long nosed unicorn fish..

And im sure i first can go for ancient fish after i catched the long nosed unicorn fish right ?

Thanks everyone :D i wont give up, after 2 months, im sure its my turn to catch it :D

I did what you said (just finded a spot and just stay there and repeatedly) i started again 6am trying to get that LONG Nosed.. A random came by my side, Cast his fishing rod 3 times and caught the Long Nosed.. he ran and I turned and thought omfg. turned towards the water again (cast maybe 20 more times) then I finally caught it :D :D :D

"Never heard about "Exquisite Rod" -
I had the situation where my rod deteriorated (the repair anvil didn't work) and when I hooked the Long Nose several times, I was not able to land it.
I had to go back to my tools and do a total re-work of my rod until it got the "Exquisite" status - and I landed a couple from then on, even a "Star" version.

congrats! Good luck on the ancient fish. Took me a few days cause I wanted a star quality to complete my collection.. this is a big boi, so make sure you have zone boosters.. without zone boosters, the slightest movement will render the fish outside of the zone..
