Glow Worm FArm
there's so many things you can put in the glow worm farm. I want glow worms, as many as possible. So has anyone figured out what to put in to get the most glow worms the fastest? 2ndary question, most cost effective way to get glow worms.

thanks

The Palia wiki has a great breakdown of what each item gives you for both worm farms:

Make 10 glow worm farms, put in 30 carrots each = 300 glow worms.

I prefer to buy butter from Zeki and use that.. it's 10 gold cheaper than actual worms, so in the long run, glow worms are still cheaper than regular worms, and still sort of purchased from Zeki.. plus this gets me my lucky coin each day..

I have tried food items that are valued over 50g and I still only get one worm, just more fertilizer..
It's a little variable for some items, but apple jelly seems to have a good return -- just remember to empty the fertilizer regularly or it'll stop producing til you do.

....so much fertilizer....

But, hey, income source!
if you can cook with someone, muujin bahari and the big cake are good ones. rough to make on your own but with people you can make them pretty fast.

These are some of the best focus foods in the game.. why would you use either of these to feed worms?
Once i saw the chart, I noticed that muujin bahari seems to be the best for amount of worms for the item but yeah, expensive worm bait, but I did drop a couple of them in worm bins because I was all out of glow worms. I also put all the apple jelly that I made today into the worm bins. that means I'm not selling anything right now but it's a sacrifice while I go after the recipes requiring glow worms. fortunatley with all this apple use the bins are giving me plenty of fertilizer to keep the apple trees going.
thanks

do different foods have different production times? or are they all 60 minutes per item? 30 hrs for a stack?

ive never used any of these for food for my focus since my focus isnt high enough so they would go to waste. a lot of the gold star dishes will fill you up just as much and dont take as much time to make or require as many resources
Plant apple trees, use quality fertilizers on them, got starred apples and make it into starred apple jam, put starred jam into grow worm farm, you got grow worms with quality fertilizers...

You see the loop right there. This method worked best for me especially for those who played this game as solo player and didn't want to waste time and resources to make any starred food.

...you can also get them from Einar, if you accumulated enough fishing medals.
The most cost efficient way is to catch a whole inventory of fish (this can even be done at your plot) and make 5+ campfires. Then just grill them all (doesn't take long) and throw them in the Worm factory. This keeps a solid 900 worms in my inventory, more than i can use. i also have 3 Glowworm farms and try to use mostly starred fish.

grrr, such a catch 22.. I ran out of glow worms trying to catch a Unicorn fish so I can unlock the Ancient fish.. I want to put said Ancient fish into the Aquarium that I am 40 medals away from (after completing the new weekly challenges this morning)..

I think I'll just wait for my farms to finish..

or I might try this.. I have a bunch of star quality fish from my attempts at catching this thing.. I was originally going to build a house with the tanks.. but if grilled fish yields more worms, I can ditch that project and save time on both ends xD
