The way Insects work BUGS me!

I have been trying to get a stupid Rainbow-Tipped Butterfly for a week irl! I've used 4 honey lure and countless of the candles/buzzy jars. I am at Pulsewater plains before 3am and will run throughout the entire area listed in the Wiki until 6pm and I haven't even SEEN one. What's more, when I have the buzzy jar going I only ever seen those azure bugs, or I will get a ping and before I can get to the spot, the bug will disappear because someone else beat me to it. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not very good at games, but at least with fishing or mining the items stay there so everyone can fish that area or mine the node. They should do the insects the same, where it is still there for others, even if one person managed to get it first.
I can't even request the dang thing. T-T
I'm not sure what to do anymore. The butterfly is the last thing I need for my bundles!

everyones out hunting for the rainbow b. plush that just got released so good speed to you and good luck is all i can say. id recommend either teaming up with someone also hunting for it or leaving it be for a few weeks until it calms down. its a pain in the ass to find in general because its one of the most rare bugs and i cant remember when i last spotted one in the wild.

I have found a couple at groves. Try to be the first person at a grove and you'll find either a rare bug or beast. Just listen for the direction of the grove at midnight and start looking for the pink cloud. If you're lucky you might find it. I have never found any outside of groves.

Honestly it's insane I posted here too about it cause I KNEW bundle quest grinders were gonna be hurt by it all
