New modification bench tints
Where are they? Am I dumb? I still only have the five modification bench options, and the thumbnails don't update between them anymore. Am I doing it wrong?

No, I was wondering the same and went back to re-read the patch notes several times. It's worded badly, it sounds like there are new tints when in fact they just added those furniture groups to be tintable in the same tints we already have.

But the video does show some furniture being white so I'm also wondering if they forgot to patch it in? I'm honestly confused at this point.

I don't understand what's so confusing about the patch notes that people think there are new colors...

Tints added to Hundreds of Decor at the Modification Bench
We know players have been asking for tints on recent decor sets. We’ve gone back and updated the following sets to be tintable:

Lily Rattan Decor
Summer Stripe Decor
Pirate Decor
Investigator Decor
Winterlights Decor (limited to standard decor – no ornaments)
And some of the Rummage Pile Decor

yea ok BUT...WHY didnt they fix it so you can preview the colors like they had before? Sad that every time they touch this game to do an update they break it :(

Same reason they added a region for Asia PAC when there was a bug and you couldn't play cross-region with NA and EU and were locked from your other region friends from the first split already. It took them forever to admit that it was broken.
Couldn't play with friends you made when there was only NA who are from EU and Asia PAC for over 6 months, it damaged so many communities.

It is confusing cause the preview video and the "festive tones to icy cold tones" makes you think they actually added new tints, but no we still have the boring weirdly matched tones as before.

Nice! I can finally tint my Investigators set.. :)

This is worded pretty straight forward.. there were items that were previously greyed out and unavailable to select for modification.. those have been given the same tints many other items have available so you can now select and modify them..

omg I'm not stupid, I know the sets previously not being able to get tinted is now able to get tinted, that's not the point, the point is that the preview video made it seem like there was gonna be more tints. Also the description of "warm festive tones to icy winter palettes" does not fit in to any of the current tints imo, hence why me and many others thought they where adding more tints. It was also a lot of wishful thinking and hoping that they added more tints or the ability to individually mix colors.
So yes the wording is confusing cause you cannot tint your decor to your hearts content because my hearts content is not these ugly color combinations!

This happens every time the palia team misleads us, either by sheer ignorance of the people who do the promotional material from bad communication from the devs, or because they wanted to hype something. Palia is known for overpromising and underdelivering.

But no, every damn time this happens people bicker in the comments. Palia has soooo many apologists and defenders it's insane. Bet the devs love all the bickering because the defenders take the flack away from them.

BTW the og founder and ceo quit the other day... hoping for things to get better, maybe he was the issue glassdoor reviews talk about, maybe it's the other 2 higher ups that are left. But, seeing this last grift-mas patch doubt it.

To me it also sounded like they added new furniture tints, rather than making more furniture sets tintable. But I won't complain. More options are always welcome, no matter which kind of options they are.
