once youre farming apples. buy preserve jar recipe from badruu and that passive income of apple jam and pickled veggies does quite nicely along with fishing

gardening and hunting are generally considered the best way to earn money, but hunting is only easy to do if you have people to hunt with. i can easily get a good 11-13k per full inventory and its quicker than fishing.
like person said above, apple jam is great but pickled potatoes are the close second to farm for. you can also sell silk if you dont need it or stacks of iron to boost up your funds.

I'm finding gardening to be a really great money maker. I've got more seeds than I know what to do with, so my seed harvesters are getting some rest but my preserve jars are working overtime.. and I'm not even to apples yet. From some of the prices I've seen, it looks like making jams or pickled goods increases the value of each fruit/veggie to ~150% of the fruit/veggie's value alone. So if a fruit/veggie is worth 40 gold, I can make 60 gold by preserving it. At 30 per stack, that extra 20 gold adds an extra 600 gold (1800 gold in total).. and the game was doing this all while I was logged out and eating dinner, or at work, in bed sleeping, or even in game hunting, mining and foraging..
