is there a way to ask for info on possible machine layouts by chance? also yes ik "personal choice" but i mean "opinion wise" wats "recommended to use?

I think 3 sawmills and 3 smelters are a minimum. You can place a couple more smelters if you're trying to get lots of bricks for building your house. Upgrade to the better machines as soon as you get them.

You need at least 2 glass furnaces so you can process glass and bulbs at the same time.

If you want to do fast grilling, place 4 campfires in a + pattern and stand in the center, then rotate around to each one.

I've noticed lots of people like putting their planters in a 3x3 pattern, but I like mine in a straight line. When I'm watering, I just hold the button and walk straight down the center until all the plants are watered.

Place down one seed collector for each type of crop you are currently planting. If you're going for apple trees, use 4 seed collectors full of apples.

Preserves jars are the best way to make focus food passively. Well... they're the only way to make focus food passively. Place down 4 of them and keep them topped off. Potatoes or apples are the best. If you keep them topped off, and you leave the preserves in the jar until you need them, you can store up to 240+ without using up any of your storage space in your chests.

4 worm / glow worm farms is a fast way to get your initial stock of worms. Place 30 crops of whatever into each one, and you have 120 of each worm the next day, plus fertilizer.

I forgot about the fabric loom.

At first you need 2 so you can process multiple resources at the same time. Once you have a good supply of cloth, leather, and silk, you just need 1, and you'll probably only use it for silk.

when u say "4 worm/glow worm" do u mean 4 each or 4 total?

the seed makers if im only growing 1 crop then how do i handle overflow? jw

You only have 81 garden spots, so you don't need more seeds than that. Plopping in a full 30 of a crop will yield about 120 seeds (depending on the ratio, most are 4x seeds per crop, some are 2x, and some are only 1x).

For example, apple trees take up 9x9 spots, so you only need 9 seeds for a full crop of apple trees. 30 apples turns into 3 seeds, so you only need 3 seed collectors for a full crop of trees.
