Removing a room

Hey guys, anyone else having a problem on their PC with removing the parts of the house , in my case particularly porch ? I wanted to rearrange my order of rooms, but I can't remove the porch or drag it to my inventory, it says Invalid Socket as an error :(

if the porch has anything sitting on it? go back ingame and remove that. then when in 'h'
focus on porch till highlighted then left click just that article. once its on your curser, right clk and it should roll into its slot in housing inventory till needed

I need to detach a courtyard and it tells me i must disconnect socket first. Everything I Try does not work . I can not get hallway between the it and the courtyard to separate. What am I doing wrong? it says Invalid Socket as an error. Everything has been removed from the rooms !
