I never vote on the trending, they got enough votes as it is.
Submitted my own twice now, always get under 10 votes. I'm not the type to beg for a certain reaction cause it defeats the purpose of voting and seeing what others think of your plot.
It would be nice if it was organic in how the voting works. But ultimately, very few people are going to get many votes.
I hope they will either change how the randomizer works or atleast lock the count towards the plates names every weeks, because if you are not from the lucky ones getting into the randomizer you indeed will never get enough votes.
Got myself 32 votes and it was a good week !
It should have just been completely random.
Yup, at the start of this round of voting I pressed the random one, got the house that is top of trending. So not only is the current voting system broken, the current random system is broken af too.
And I've also come across a few empty ones with more votes than my own, which I've spent a lot of time on. It stings tbh.
I feel like letting you see who owns what plot and letting you go to plots by name is the real issue here. It's a way to farm votes and it should be removed.
Make it anonymous, make it random and remove trending unless it's for visits only, NO VOTING. And your problem is solved, you can no longer farm votes. At least, as easily, some desperate people might still try to farm votes by plot name but since what plot you go to next would be random that wouldn't be as possible if at all anymore.
This whole thing is solved with that one change, anonymity makes it all more balanced.
The voting system for the house plot is a good example.
Even the big focus on premium content over fixing bugs and adding new content is causing issues.
Personally, I only vote for those with a plot value close to my own and it isnt all just stuffed together to fill as much space as possible using every form of light source in the game.
I think many of those with inflated votes are probably streamers or something.
The game is on a downhill slope as far as i can see and it doesnt seem as if it will get any better.
Some are really pretty but waaay to cluttered, and I love clutter lol. But there has to be a balance.
My own plot was almost going in that direction and it didn't feel good when I walked around, made my head feel chaosy.
It still feels a bit too busy but I've spent so much time growing trees and flowers so don't wanna remove that bit xD
I really wanna get the shipwreck plot and build something coastal and beachy, but there's no palm trees in the game, current trees would kill the vibe. So wishing for palmtrees or deco palm trees to be added.
palms, clumps of dune grass as well as a tiki hut structure for the house. what we have now is wholly inappropriate for beach life
Need to know that, vote farming is kinda what they actually want to do.
Since to get names plates (up to the new ones) you need up to 1000 votes on the reaction to get it, it's reseted per week so you can't even get it by time.
Also there is a channel on their discord to ask votes, but even that not alot of people get much votes. I've already posted there a few times and people just reply ''voted'' when they actually not even bothered visiting your plot, and when they do, they just go to the entrance, hit the react you want and leave.
It's quite sad because yes. Some people spend time on their plot and they don't even get anything out of it.
This week i've visited a house with only a fish inside, got about 2000 votes of each for it.
Quite depressing tbh.
I am not sure what could be done to improve the situation but the way it is is pretty demoralizing.
On the contrary:

"Problems with leadership...Rigid thinking, no long-term roadmap for business or game, and basically a lack of self-awareness."
"Management is unwilling to listen to facts and doubles down on already failed strategies instead of changing."
