Crafted Items
I think the crafted items should be worth more than the raw products used to make it. For example: Sernuk Hide is worth 2 coins less than leather. I feel that the crafted items should be worth much more considering we took the time to make them. I could sell meat and veggies raw and get more than cooked items. Why?

Also, why can't we sell furniture? I don't want to keep all my old stuff so I have to delete it and waste all my materials used to make it. Seems wasteful. We should be able to destroy it for some materials at minimum if not be able to sell it for a profit.

Yes, it's ridiculous. Only benefit you get from crafting is the exp you gain during crafting (and that's only in some cases).

The exception is when you get Starred versions from unstarred materials. For example there's a chance to get starred grilled fish from two unstarred fishes and the price will be higher then the sum of ingredients in this case.

Furniture absolutely need to be sellable.

Destroy furniture to regain some materials it's like giving a whole new mess for devs to work with, cause they have to go through every furnitures and work it out. That's why they allowed you to have unlimited decor, it's just easier. Not saying to disagree,it would also great to see, I just doubt that devs might not invest their time to change that anytime soon. Sellable is more possible.

Some things I wish I knew in the beginning..

1) If you like the furniture, but have no room for it, keep it.. we get multiple plots to build on and you may want the furniture in the future. Don't throw away your materials to need them again later..

2) Furniture you do not want can be given to Trish once a day as a gift to boost your friendship status.

3) Starred versions of certain items can actually be placed as decor. This includes food cooked from a stove/oven or mixing/prepping station.. I don't think this applies to campfire cooked food. Also includes gems mined from nodes.. which I REALLY wish I knew from the beginning because the Starred Jasper has taken weeks to replace and I'm still trying to replace my Emerald and Onyx.. (and I'm still trying for an Amethyst)

Furniture doesn't take up storage so you can't not have room for it.

My furniture takes up one slot of storage each.. I've seen a youtuber with "unlimited decor storage", but IDK how to get this.. but by "room for it", I meant space in the house/on the plot..

the slots are unlimite, if you look at the bar below each tab when you get to the one with a chair...for deco. you will see it says unlimited storage for those types of items...slots are irrelevant it counts items.

Only thing that helps me is that I can give to Trish. I don't want or need the furniture because my house doesn't give me any benefits. I put all efforts towards leveling and quests.

Lol, this stuff is an excel spreadsheet, the devs already have their spreadsheet of materials it costs to make. Adding recycling/destruction is just a formula where you take the input materials and multiply by 0.5, round up and return half of the materials used.
Game dev might be hard, but ♥♥♥♥ like this is not.

The only reason there is no getting materials back is to keep you playing so you have to farm more.

Of course
I didn't say it's impossible, I said give players one free slot for unlimited decor storage is just easier. A work is a work even it's the easy thing like you just said. But once they add recycling function to some furniture, this require devs to add that into all furniture included any new furniture that will come along with any new content (basically more work). Not to mention any potential bugs or issues that may occur, as of today player experienced invisible glider, last month some fish tank problem etc.

I did said earlier, it would be great to see. But, If devs don't bother with it, it just goes to show it's not on their priority list, or they just think there's nothing wrong with it (at this moment).

The way I explained it you don't need to add any recycling list, in many games recycling takes the list of input, has some filter where specific item types don't get refunded and then uses a formula that goes over the input, so you don't need a second list. It adds no work load to future additions. It only adds QA which laughably they have none of, I'll give you that.
The reason many things like these aren't added into the game, things of convenience, is because you'd spend more time isolated on your plot and less time outside of your plot, which is their main goal, pushing you to be outside of your plot.
