Glowing Rocks

Been playing for a while now, noticed sometimes some ore nodes started glowing and shimmering which is visually different from the normal rocks in game. Couldn't figure out how those rocks are different when mined. Any ideas?

when they do that they are about to despawn. usually because someone has mined it a few minutes before.

Here I was thinking that it had a better chance to spawn rare bug after mining lol Good to know!

Flora that can be foraged and Mining nodes do this because they are instanced per player. Ever notice after you mine or pluck the flowers, there's like a ghost shell of it? That means the item is still there for other players to access. The despawn timer is triggered on initial interaction with whatever player interacts with the item first.
