Over 1K in Balloon Popping (Event)

Are these people cheating or am I missing something about how this event works?

I understand there are 3 types of balloons, each award us with different points.
But none of my friends ever seem to get far from 300-500 and we're good shot.

So what is the trick then?

you dont need to pop the balloons, just hit them once for it to count as long as it pops overal. gives you more time to spam more shots on other balloons and get first place practically each time.

Yea, I know I posted that earlier. I figured it works the same way as with creatures, that you hit them once and the game considers it your kill even if you didn't. That's how I hit around 500 on average, but never close to 1K especially not 1.5 which I saw yesterday.

I love the balloon pop game but the catching one is a little bit of a hit and miss when there are so many ghosts around? Halloween is over isn't it? Not sure if those who use ghosts is a legitimate thing for that game or not or if it's a form of cheating. If someone can clarify this for me that would be great.

Well Devilish Dave,they appeared as ghosts that morphed to a creature in front of me snatched it up before I could pick it up and disappeared before my eyes to the pen. Before repeating the sequence over and over.

id say placement, if youre high up or try and stand close to the middle you have a higher chance of popping boss balloons on all sides rather than just one of them. also make sure you use rapid shooting by holding G.

Ah yes, that is what I witnessed too and like you said, it kept happening and it wasn't a network lag on their behalf, but literal cheats. I've noticed the exact same thing.

Nope, it doesn't work for me and I gave up on it. I aim well enough to get them without having to spam and my eyes have gotten used to the invisible wolves as well.
