"Another Way" quest bug

Well, I started Tish's friendship quest. I did everything the mission asked for: I read the recipe, I found all the ingredients and when I went to Tamala's house to use the cauldron it doesn't let me interact with it.

Does anyone else have the same problem?
Does anyone know if the cauldron can be used in another way?

It's broken. No ETA to when it will be fixed. 180 other people have posted on the bug forum about it. We just have to wait.

Oh... Okay, okay, so we'll just have to wait for them to fix it. And in the meantime have Reth, Zeki and Tish's quests just sitting there. *sigh*

I feel your pain. We are all stuck without being able to progress with Zeki, Tish and Reth. We remain hopeful a fix comes in the new year. Happy Holidays mate.

So for me it was surprising that when i went to talk to Tamala about using her cauldron she flat out told me "NO!" and "if i touched her personal items without her permission that i would find out why everyone is scared of her", or something similar to that...i was shocked at her response but kinda snickered at the same time. And of course the cauldron wont let me interact with it. Doesnt it seem odd though that she would respond with NO if its a bug? I dont know what to do at this point as all of my quests are also at a stand still due to this one issue.
Has anyone heard of an ETA when they plan to fix this? How do they expect players to want to log on when you cant progress the game?

Best we know right now is there is an update coming on Dec 17th with some new items, content and some QOL updates and some bug fixes. We remain hopeful this issue will be fixed at that point.

It doesn't matter. At first I tried to turn on the cauldron, but it didn't work. It was only then that I decided that maybe I needed to talk to Tamala (she also said NO). Quest doesn't work(

I had the same issue as well but found I only needed to get Tamala's approval. To do this you need to make sure your friendship level with Tamala has reached level 3 so that you have access to her room. Once you can enter go inside and just to the right as you enter will be an "Experimental Brew" you can read. Do this quest up to the stage where Tamala asks for the ingredients on the list. When you reach this point she will give you access to her cauldron.

I don't know what happens if you complete Tamala's quest first but I did Tish myself and was able to then interact and complete that stage. Then I went back and completed Tamala's.

Hope this helps out if you attempt to complete this.

This doesn't apply to most of us. We are all level 4 friendship and level 3 romance and close to the end of that and still can't use it. S6 has already said its broken and they are working on it. Hopefully we will see the fix with Dec 17 update, otherwise it will be in the new year.

400 people who sent in bug reports and were told it was broken cannot do this quest. You are one person. Grats on it working for you. Its still broken for over 400 people and S6 confirmed this.

Was just mentioning I could use it and when in case it meant the bug was fixed or something. In case it helped others.
You don't need to snap or be rude. It's comments like this that stop people contributing to the community out of fear people will jump down their throats for a simple comment.

Just tried to used it like 10 min ago and it still doesn't work.
It's a bit weird that it works for you, but good for you, you're the only one who can finally end the quests

I hope thet S6 will fix the bug in the next update.

Its a shame that its still bugged, even after the update from today. I went down the list of hotfixes, and "Another way" was not one of them. Ofcourse more has been done, and so the list would maybe be too great to read all of it. But I suppose they actually haven't fixed it. Got my hopes up, yet again...
