Steam or Palia website?
Hello, I am thinking about playing Palia.
Does it matter if i sign up through steam or through the game's website?

I remember some of these MMOs have better deals if you sign up through their website and i wonder if its the same thing with Palia.

Well to start, Palia isn't an MMO... It's more of a single player game where you can occasionally run into other people playing.

No deals for signing up on one or the other though. Do whatever works best for you!

There are pros and cons to both.

Steam:
Pro - You don't need to remember your password to log in.
Pro - You can use your Steam wallet to buy the premium coins for cosmetics, which means you can use Steam gift cards if you don't want to use your credit card. You have to have your Steam overlay active to make purchases, though.
Pro - It keeps track of how much of your life you've wasted on this game.
Pro - Steam will track your achievements.
Pro - Steam will keep the game updated for you.
Con - You can only have one account tied to your Steam profile (if this even matters).

Palia Launcher:
Pro - You can have multiple accounts (if this even matters).
Pro - You can't see how much of your life you've wasted on this game.
Con - You have to enter your e-mail address and password every time you log in. It's not so bad if you use a password manager, though.
Con - You have to use your credit card to make premium currency purchases (unless you have access to PayPal).
Con - The game doesn't update until you open the launcher, delaying the start of your play time.
Con - There is no way to track your achievements other than through the game, and you can't show them off to other players.

I've never used the Epic Games version, or the Switch, so I can't speak to those.
