can't delete character / start over
must be a joke. at least a free joke.

It's kind of dumb but on the other hand there's never a real reason to start over. The only things you can't do again are certain story conversations and cutscenes.

The only true reason to start over is to change your name. Otherwise, you can change absolutely everything else about your character.

yeah i just loved game, gonna still play. but wanted to start over with friend. sad that it's not possible.

You can submit a ticket to support through their website to have your character deleted.

You'll keep all the cosmetics you bought or earned on your new character.

You can create a new account with a new email address. Download the client directly from the Palia website. That allows you to sign in under different logins, IIRC. Stupid that you can't do that from the Steam client when you only get one character per account, if you wanted to start over with a friend.
