Fishing -worms and other atrocities

I was fishing first with glow worms, then worms, then just the hook. I kept catching Marlins with all three. Are glow worms and worms useless or is the hook just that amazing?

Their not supposed to bite if your not using any bait. If you get that error/bug again, definitely up a ticket in S6's bug section.
They usually bite when you use worms, but you can get unlucky and have others bite when using glow worms as well. If that happens stop immediately, you'll just be wasting your glow worms.

its the opposite. I use just the hook . No worms and I catch great fish. Always the same quality fish. I was playing with my friend , we fished for almost an hour. I started with glow worms. I caught blue marlin. I ran out of glow worms and worms and still caught 3 more blue marlin with the hook
