Anti-social hot pot
I really appreciate the fact that Palia creates a peaceful atmosphere in the game and that social interaction is a priority.

The hot pots and the wheel of fortune counteract this. There are far too few tables, with players jostling for space almost every round - which is understandable, because everyone wants to get to the hot pot. At no other point in the game do I experience more bickering than at the hot pot tables.

It's similar with the wheels of fortune where you can redeem the coins. Players sometimes have to stand in line for minutes because only one player can spin the wheel at a time. If someone then redeems 20 coins, it's pretty annoying for everyone else. Other players try to jump the queue. Both of these also cause arguments.

Improvements are urgently needed here. I suggest more hot pots (perhaps making the tables graphically smaller so that there is more space) and at the same time a 5-second timer at the end of the game, during which only previous players can log in to the table, so that nobody can push their way in, but at the same time there is the possibility of joining in if someone is afk or simply dawdling. The wheel of fortune should be accessible to everyone at all times, the animation can only be visible to the respective player.

This is all time gate and gacha elements. Normal games add them with new content just for fun. Here it's a new content, because S6 can't do anything more.
Grind coins for roll wheel for getting random bag with random loot. Gacha^2. And 50% of this loot just same plushe with another model size/color.

the only problem i have with the hot pot right now IS the fact that only previous players keep hogging the tables since theyre already close by and can keep pressing the key to get in, while new players or people waiting around have to keep waiting or find another server to get a chance to play. i think itd be more fair to say you can only play a certain amount of games at one table before you have to wait to play again or find another free table to keep at it (just in case the server is sort of empty) at least until things have calmed down around the new update. or yeah add more tables. theres plenty of room on the other side to add a few extra :)

I'd second that, we do need more tables. If you're not there at about 9pm there is almost no chance of getting a space at a table.

In those other games where you pay for spins (or watch ads) it makes sense. In this game, where playing is free, it doesn't.

That's the same thing I thought the first time I was playing. I got kicked off my table by someone else joining before I could get back in (I wanted to see what the other players had in their hands), and all the other tables were full.

The majority of people going to play hotpot for the foreseeable future and going to be getting in front of a table and playing until 3am when it kicks you off of them.

Simplest solution and one that always should have existed to begin with is for players to have the ability to manually change server instances, without having to leave a map and return.

This way people could just switch to a different instance to find open spots at tables.

Yes. As it is now, leaving the map and coming back isn't even a guarantee that you'll get into a different server.

Even games from 15+ years ago had it where you could manually select and change to a different instance. No reason not to have it.

To summarize, there are many individual sensitivities surrounding the hot pot, a general desire for improvement and plenty of options for possible solutions.

It's just not fun when there aren't free spots, or if someone swipes your spot.

I do like the hotpot game and I do like the spinning wheel. The prizes are nice (personally not interested in fireworks but thats only personal) so far I have arrived and waited and then someone once took my spot I was standing in as they clicked the button faster. But honestly their were other spots available, they were just trolling. I found one quick enough. I do not try and play the game if I am not there when it starts. I know it will be full so why hit my head against a wall if their are so many other things to do. I just simply wait for the next ig day and arrive on time. Its really no big deal imo. So far their has only been one really big issue with a player by the name of shin, but there must have been 8 of us reporting him so the devs will look into that. as for the set up I am fine with it. It works well, the game is fun, the prizes are nice. I really dont see all the chaos, I play quite a lot actually. So thumbs up from me. thank you devs

okay update: I just played hot pot and 2 games it was only two of us, though we announced 2 spots open. 2 more games we only had 3 people play. their were also 2 other tables doing call outs. This was not by any means at 6pm this was well into half way through the time in underground.

now the wheel, for some reason since the start, there has been issues with people not waiting their turn for the wheel. One wheel is in chaos and the other forms a line. You are always going to have those entitled trolls that feel they should get their loot NOW. but they are also at the gas station, grocery store and anywhere else on the planet. Just be patient, karma will teach them in their time....entitlement never lasts. The universe always humbles us in some way. So if they cut, and spin out of turn while you waited......breathe...its not personal to you directly. Only a display of their lack of character. Let it go, and enjoy your game. :)

You can solve the wheel problem by just coming back another time. It's not like your coins vanish when you leave the underground.

its more of a no-mans online game, the small space to harvest and chat in this type of single-player environment is probably the reason for the hostile vibe. The games kinda quirky in a sense, it seems the whole point is to decorate a small plot, the graphics are pretty good but for the soul purpose of a small plot compared to a single player game is kinda lame, "ok run out harvest" come back and build then show to friends or w/e. theres no competative aspect which is part of a mmorpg or mog which kinda makes it its own game/genre. not my thing at all even though it was a new to me (kind of interesting) for a short while. I don't like this genre

Quite frankly, I think making some of the new furnishing items and seeds and such dependent on grouping is absurd. I play odd hours so I really can't participate. I suppose I'll move along. What a shame. :steamdeadpan:
