Palia

Why not 2am flow tree chop?
I find it such a long time to wait to chop flow tree groves at 3am. I mean if an hour palia time is 2 and a half minutes our time, wouldn't 5 minutes wait to chop at 2am palia time be enough? I just left home, walked, not ran, down the trail to the blacksmith, recharged my tools, walked to Einer and bought some hooks, walked to Bahari Bay, chatted with the miner guy and made it to the transport sign on the north side of Bahari Bay in 5 minutes our time. Sheesh is it so everyone can go make a cuppa while they wait or something? If it was chop at 2am, everyone would still have time left to go and set up a honey lure somewhere so they are ready by 3am for new bug spawns.

Who says you always have to wait until 3? Is there a new law/rule for this or are we still talking about nettiquet? We regulate it so that whoever sees the grove and shouts it determines when it will be cut down. Palia is a game that is based on comfortable play and mutuality. You can also treat yourself to a few minutes of your precious time, right?

but as I said. Everyone decides for themselves whether they want to wait for others or whether they are selfish and just cut it down. This is nothing forbidden and is also not a reason for a report as most people always claim in the chat. There is no rule on S6 that prohibits it

so play how you want

Yeah there's absolutely no reason to wait until 3am every time. Everyone knows grove is at midnight, there's no reason why people can't be on the bahari map prior to midnight. Sure there's times it takes a while to find the grove so there's allowances that need to be made for those times, but overall, no reason to wait until 3am.

People always say stuff like it's only a couple of minutes, blah blah blah, yeah unless there's something you're going for at 3am then it's another hour you have to wait and there's things that only spawn from 3am - 6am.

I've found that its become a standard, 3am chop, because unless someone is standing right next to it when it appears it takes time to locate the Grove. Then when you do we try to give everyone time to get there as Flow wood is so rare. Rather than everyone breaking their neck to race to the site and get stressed its easier to just relax and wait a few minutes so everyone can get a chance at it.

Of course if you are so self obsessed and greedy you don't wish to give others a chance then that is up to you, but for the most part the players I have seen in months of playing the game have no issue waiting.

There's no reason to wait until 2, either. When everyone who said they are going to be there finally shows up, just start chopping.

Do a "last call for grove!" and if no one says anything, chop. If someone is still on the way, they should say "still OMW!" and let everyone know when they show up.

Standing around until 3 "just because" is stupid.

Edit: Oh, and last call means last call. There's no second last call, or third last call. Just chop already!

It shouldn't take more than five minutes to get to a grove.

Maybe the people that are self-obsessed and greedy are those wasting others' time because it was more important they finished whatever task they were doing rather than head directly to the grove. :)

If the grove is out of my way, I just don't even bother. People can wait until the next spawn if they're THAT far away that they can't make it there within a few minutes of it being called. Especially if it's close to a teleport, then there's no excuse at all.

I usually just end up waiting because I can tab out and check another game/browse internet, but I wish the 3-4 AM wasn't the standard, lol.

i hit all the trees once and leave, when I see all the thanks, i just work my way back and pick up. I hunt rainbow tipped butterflies at 3am.

You can start chopping trees whenever you feel like doing so.
Myself I go to groves if I have time, if im doing other stuff ill skip them but then again I played long enough that im comfortable with my supply of flow wood and planks.

I get waiting until 3am if ppl on way but really should be chopping at about 2/230 as like others state everyone knows when groves spawn so if wanted/needed they should be there asap after 12am.

2.30am seems to be the standard agreed upon time in most of the region i get connected to. its not long enough to get most of the server to head to it, and but short enough that we can do things like honey lures, mine/chop fish near it while we wait. so i always have a honey lure with with me if i know i'm going to be in bahari near the nighttime.

but if you're whining about flow trees then you can honestly just finish the bundle and get the flow tree seeds from the daily reward from it and grow it yourself. so i don't do groves for the wood anymore, i just do it for the group activity mainly.

To say someone is selfish because they chose to not wait is not only wrong but rude. I seen someone else say it in game. I thought ok so they dont like you going alone here but not everyone is friendly either. So I decided ok call out the tree or go to I was new and had no idea how it worked...did one person explain it to me? no i was called a dummy instead. Selfish i will stay.
3am is pretty late, but I'm willing to wait for the courtesy of other players, even if they should have been in Bahari Bay before midnight.
