Rubies are impossible to find

I've been smashing Palium nodes for days and no sign of rubies. Has anyone actually found any?

That map is outdated. Stone, iron, and palium all spawn in the same locations now.

Nope you can't get them from copper or stone Cheese. Koro you only get Palium and iron in Bahari, it doesn't spawn in Kilima so that is why you found them in Bahari :)

Those items should have been noted that they could potentially be for quests. I got the reward for a bunch of green pearls, sold them and now i see theyre required. Ive opened hundreds of oysters and never got one so end gaming will probably never happen.

5 days and over 40 hours in just mining Palium and I FINALLY got the ruby.

It would take them maybe half an hour to code in a "if active quest requirement boost chance x amount".

Also just got a Ruby, to even confirm once more that size of the node doesn't matter - got it from small palium node.

I did finally get one but they are like that hell spawn unicorn fish, they just take forever to find. so.. "GRIND MORE YOU LITTLE WHELP!"

Got my first today on exactly my 2,000th node mined (achievement triggered) Only drops from palium as far as i know.

Ruby is a LEGENDARY-class rarity which means it's more rare than Long-nose Unicorn Fish; Ancient Fish or Rainbow-tipped Butterfly (all of which are EPIC-class rarity).
I have ten Ruby in Safe Storage right now and anything more than that I sell immediately.
But in all my mining (and Mining is my highest level at 160+) I have never once gotten a star-quality Ruby.
There is hope out there for you to get a Ruby. But be aware that Ruby is not exclusive to mining only Palium (not from my past experience).

Yeah the drop rates are absolutely broken. They've been broken for a long time and keep nerfing them under the excuse of "maintaining the economy" which I think is kind of ridiculous. :/

This is probably my one and only gripe right now with this game. its supposed to be chill and relaxing yet here we are trying to find pallium that drops rubies .. i mined for like 4 hours yesterday using a compass and finally got a ruby. and thats not counting all the days before that mining away at everything to get a blasted ruby.

I've found rubies (including a starred one) and I'm not a lucky person.
Keep persevering, and you can also try Ore Compasses.

Did u used ore compass a lot? Found one only cuz one man was pleasant to flare & share in chat the big pal node...

If the chance of getting a needed gem is so low & it's needed to progress, isn't devs forcing you to become exhausted during the chase? Like it's got no impact on your rl health? Def no! It's free to play the game, you are free not to play! If a woman wants your D* 7 times a night, it's also not exhausting! Just get rid of her, become free! Oh sorry, I forgot to take my pills again... Plz don't mind, keep on discussing guys.
