Selling unwanted/already made Furniture to Tish
Please make it so you can sell the furniture you've made to Tish. You spend so much time find resources and crafting items to upgrade so you can build up to the stuff you ACTUALLY want, you should be able to get gold back for items you've made and no longer want instead of keeping them in storage. And why can you only have 8 storage boxes at any one time? There are so many epic bugs and fish you might want to keep, but you are only allowed so much storage and then you have to start selling off stuff you may not want to get rid of. At least make it so maybe there is bug storage, food storage, gatherable storage, etc. And make it so you can sort your storage boxes.

There are storage upgrades, which significantly increases storage space on those 8 chests
Then the lockbox chest works great for keeping all of your gold star bugs, fish, and plants so that it doesn't get sold or used
While you can also place all the furniture in the lock-box, so that your main storage isn't crowded with those items either
With the Huge amount of crafting stations available- you could simply just lay down 10+ upgraded sawmills and get thousands of planks in one sitting; so most furniture items could easily be thrown out without the feeling that profit is being lost

Don't bother, we've been asking for this for years.

Making a shop interface to sell furniture, or even scrap it for parts would be so incredibly easy in comparison to the work they put into seasonal mechanics that only exist in the game a month or two out of the year. Not having something like this (and having such limited storage) shows a complete misunderstanding of game design.

Following this games development fascinates me. So many misplaced priorities.

Why tho? I mean they don't take up any storage and if you really want to, you can just throw them away or gift them to Tish.

I am not against being able to vendor furniture but it's really easy to craft so it might just be too lucrative for hardcore players. If they tweak values to sort that out new players may never be able to make money off it. Maybe a daily cash limit for furniture sales of 20k? Something reasonable and helpful for most but not just easymode for experienced players?

As for the limited storage. I spent a long time struggling before I found the chest upgrades but they give what? 10000 storage maxxed out which is honestly quite a bit. Certainly not something I would consider 'limited'. It's not cheap to buy the recipes so it's not early game stuff but it's not too bad if you focus on it.

What's the harm in hardcore players taking advantage of selling furniture? There's no player economy to manage. If another player is making bank off of selling furniture, more power to them.

It's just very odd limitations to put on a game like this. Some of the limitations they claim are technical, which I think is a little silly.

It's really baffling that they didn't allow you to sell excess furniture from day one like every other game in this genre. I don't even think you can discard it

If "economy" is really an issue then just sell it for the cost of its parts, problem solved

Furnishings do NOT use ANY storage space.
You can place 100,000 Homestead chairs in your storage box, and still use 0/maximum capacity (up to 10,000).

But yes, everyone would love to be able to sell them.

I, on the other hand, would rather be able to dismantle them into 1/2 of what is required to construct them.

That too. Even with infinite furniture storage, it still takes forever to find anything since there's no search or sorting (aside from the default alphabetical)

Instead of selling it could be disassemble option to get back like 50% of resources or so...

Any starred fish, bug, starstone or cooked food can be placed anywhere on your home plot and displayed, this is good for getting more space in your storage. I personally have all my star food on the floor in my kitchen until I need to eat it so it isn't taking needed space in my storage chest

I was planning on making a "museum" of sorts, but I never got around to it, and I don't know any easy way remember what I've placed and what I haven't. Plus I want to keep a few dishes for buffs or gifts, and fish/bugs for crafting or cooking.

My fiance made a room with his fish and bugs and made some long tables for all the starred food. If you place them in alphabetical order that might help to see what you still need to place. I don't plan to display anything, it is only displayed because I don't have any more room in my storage. When you have placed them in your plot you can pick them up again at any time to use for crafting, cooking or buffs :)

This is a bit derailing from the original thread point but...

If you want to try again (or for anyone else wanting), I made a museum of all the bugs and fishes and used PaliaTracker to mark off my progress. There's also making an excel type spreadsheet or a text file, removing/marking things as you go.

Tracking was the 'easy' part. Harder part is the RNG. =(

I'm really hoping that some day there's a museum like animal crossing
