Then the lockbox chest works great for keeping all of your gold star bugs, fish, and plants so that it doesn't get sold or used
While you can also place all the furniture in the lock-box, so that your main storage isn't crowded with those items either
With the Huge amount of crafting stations available- you could simply just lay down 10+ upgraded sawmills and get thousands of planks in one sitting; so most furniture items could easily be thrown out without the feeling that profit is being lost
Following this games development fascinates me. So many misplaced priorities.
I am not against being able to vendor furniture but it's really easy to craft so it might just be too lucrative for hardcore players. If they tweak values to sort that out new players may never be able to make money off it. Maybe a daily cash limit for furniture sales of 20k? Something reasonable and helpful for most but not just easymode for experienced players?
As for the limited storage. I spent a long time struggling before I found the chest upgrades but they give what? 10000 storage maxxed out which is honestly quite a bit. Certainly not something I would consider 'limited'. It's not cheap to buy the recipes so it's not early game stuff but it's not too bad if you focus on it.
What's the harm in hardcore players taking advantage of selling furniture? There's no player economy to manage. If another player is making bank off of selling furniture, more power to them.
It's just very odd limitations to put on a game like this. Some of the limitations they claim are technical, which I think is a little silly.
If "economy" is really an issue then just sell it for the cost of its parts, problem solved
You can place 100,000 Homestead chairs in your storage box, and still use 0/maximum capacity (up to 10,000).
But yes, everyone would love to be able to sell them.
I, on the other hand, would rather be able to dismantle them into 1/2 of what is required to construct them.
This is a bit derailing from the original thread point but...
If you want to try again (or for anyone else wanting), I made a museum of all the bugs and fishes and used PaliaTracker to mark off my progress. There's also making an excel type spreadsheet or a text file, removing/marking things as you go.
Tracking was the 'easy' part. Harder part is the RNG. =(
