Game won't launch since latest update

I tried everything like, re-install, update graphic driver, verify the game files, re-steam or even restart my comp it still not working.

The character screen appears for me, but when I click on "PLAY" everything collapses and closes the game.

I meant I have a problem on clicking Play on steam launcher menu. Idk maybe my PC is too potato but when it first released here, I play it just fine before like 200+ hours xD

My current CPU is AMD Phenom II X6 1100T BE (yes, it is very old but still has excellent performance with 16GB RAM).

Going back to this topics, I'm pretty sure now Meister was pointing in the good direction, people crash -looking to the sky- weird - the solution is to look at the ground, sound like a video/graphics/engine problem. But people have to stop to suggest "reboot your computer" or validate / verify your files. or even more newb solution. We have to be honest, all those people that can't LAUNCH the game aren't in fault, the patch is. And the only solution we have to wait for an hotfix ... Ho ... well... sh*t .... It didn't work.

Well, bye. I got my dose of waiting and trying to find a solution. Good luck with Palia guys!

Mine still wont launch, I originally had it installed through the installer on their website, had over 100 hours on the game. Logged off one night and everything was fine, came back the next day and I can't get passed the play button, no crash or error.
When it stopped working I tried clean uninstalling and reinstalling with Epic Games Launcher, still wouldn't load, gave it another go with a clean uninstall and installing with steam. Still nothing.

right click palia in your steam library and then click on properties. You'll see a text box for launch options.

add this: -dx11

then try launching the game and see if you have any better luck.

If they really did upgrade the engine to UE5 and you have an older pc then whelp you're SOL.

Did it since I first faced the issue and it's not worked. Also the devs told me they didn't do or change anything about the engine in every patch updates.

If they really didn't change anything and we didn't change anything ...

What the f*ck is the problem then?

Of course "they" change something ... It work ---> patch ---> it don't work anymore. Rattenbat and me, and a lot of other people didn't decided during the "maintenance" to change every bit of our hardware just for fun. Of course it's they are in fault -They are the devloppers- (doesn't mean I spit on them, no, no.... but it's obvious) Look at the discussion board, there are so much more bugs than before. :D

I don't know why people think that magicly our computer changed hardware during the "maintenance". lol


note: I don't know if rottenbat have the same specification as me but:

- I run much more graphicly demanding Games.
- All OTHER games works fine as always.
- The computer was on all day, theyre was NO CHANGES - except that cursed patch.

- I have latest windows 10 WITH LATEST DRIVERS (including videos) - just in case someone said stupidly again "Update your videocard driver"

If they didn't change ANYTHING as devloppers.... (it make no sense to type this)

Something must have changed because, I can run ALL my games without any issues. I can also run Second Life (which is known to be graphic intensive), without any issues. Zero crashing.
Granted my pc isn't top of the line but, if I can run Fortnite, Wow, Second Life, and Aion... I should in theory be able to run Palia without any kind of troubles.
I am wondering if I uninstall and grab it directly from the website, if it will run better without Steam.. :(
