It'll probably stay in open beta until every last ounce of hope is drained from its players, until they can no longer verbally utter or physically type "iT's StIlL iN bEtA" to defend Singularity 6's and the game's shortcomings month after month, year after year.
I get the issue here. I agree the store page needs to clarify. But as someone who has many hours invested in this game (way more than my steam hours show), I can say it's a fun game! There's plenty of content and if you like decorating at all, that's like hundreds of hours right there. But there's plenty outside of decorating as well.
Not trying to be a fanboi, just sharing my experience with the game as I've played it for a while.
If you want to progress through the entire story without delays, then waiting until full release is the best bet.
They won't wipe it. I get your sentiment about wanting to wait till it's finished. I'm just gonna throw out there though there are limited time items thrown out in the game through twitch drops, in game events, etc. And I personally wouldn't want to miss them. So I keep playing.
They regularly release really cute stuff. In case you missed it, the big Frogbert is Huuuuuuuuuge. BUT there's actually a small frogbert plush that I believe will be limited time. You just need to find the big frogbert in kilima, climb to the top of it (jump on it from the nearby rock) and there's a cute small frogbert plushie.
I have no idea what I'm gonna do with big Frogbert. I guess make a frog shrine!
