Insta-Fishing How??! WTF? This can't be right?

3rd time now I go to fish and there is someone doing this insta-fishing or something.
Is that some sort of God tier fishing pole?
I kid you not, it's like less than a second per cast and wind in!
I know I have only been playing a few weeks but this person Coriander was God tier fishing and I tried to ask In game, but they never responded to me how.
Is this an end-game thing? Or, is this game also plagued with hackers? :(
I'm really hoping it's just end game...but it seemed kinda broken to me.

It's a known hack that has been there for ages, certainly not endgame fishing. Unfortunately I haven't seen many being banned for it.

I've never seen this but I have seen people somehow standing underwater and casting up to the surface

Ahh, Go Figure. Too bad they are allowing this to happen. Maybe those caught will have all fishing related things and skills reduced to zero.

This is just a visual bug. People sometimes appear to be 'under water' while they see themselves on the pier/edge of the water.
I know this because it happens sometimes when I am playing with my partner. He appears to be under the water for me - and i can literally see his screen, where he stands on the pier next to me :D

There is a hook time booster you can buy from Einar's guild store that you can also stack with fishing buffs from certain foods you can eat and a speed boost also from fishing around other people. I'm not sure it's literally a second though but pretty quick.
