What? To max out their friendship or romance? You'll need to be more specific but maxing out relationships takes days not hours.

They take days to get up in level because of the nature of gift giving. You can only give 1 gift every 24 hour cycle - it resets at like 1am EST I think?

You can talk to them every in-game hour to increase their friendship level.
