Loots are shared even if you are not in the same group.
But now with the patch hitting today, grouping will be something interesting to do as now within 35m people will receive double rewards along shared items and new housing items.
The world isn't large enough to justify splitting up to look for things, people post cords in chat anyway.
You aren't rewarded for co-operative play, and there are no areas of the game that actually require it. (Except infused trees) Player trading is nonexistent outside of request fulfillment, and that can be done by literally anyone.
The game does not contain any social mechanic element to get player to be friends.
If we had shops where people could share/buy other people prebuilt configurations;
Or if there were an area where a group of people could share/contribute to a farm, making groups would be more meaningful.
We can look at other MMO's that have more meaningful social mechanics;
Like Runescape or FF14 for example;
Runescape has specific hubs dedicated for it, the GE is a place for trade but also to meet with and talking to interesting people.
FF14 has the Clans system and a cosmetic system allows for a massive range of interest groups. People go online to just hangout and look pretty when their not spamming AHK cycles.
When you party up with others and partake in activities with a party member nearby, you and your party member will receive a buff that provides a chance at doubled loot and make progress towards special Party-based Accomplishments. These new Accomplishments will provide brand new rewards: Growable Furniture! 🌱
Party Buffs
When partied up with friends and within 35 meters of a party member, you’ll be able to enjoy the loot of your party member’s activities, even if you didn’t participate! This will apply to hunting, insect-catching, foraging, and mining.
When playing near party members, you’ll also have a chance at earning double the loot! This will apply to loot-based activities including hunting, insect catching, foraging, mining, and fishing. This will not apply to cooking, gardening, and furniture making skills.
You must be within a range of 35 meters of a party member for the buff to be active. You can check this range by looking out for the Party Buff icon near your name in the upper left corner.
Party People Accomplishments
As you play with and near your fellow party members, you’ll earn XP towards the Party People Accomplishments, visible on the Accomplishments tab. Completing this accomplishment will provide brand new rewards: seeds for Growable Furniture.
Growable Furniture is currently only available as a reward for partying up with friends so be sure to invite pals on your adventures.
There are 5 levels of the Party People Accomplishment and each level will provide one item of Growable Furniture. When you receive a Growable Furniture item seedling, you can plant it on your plot, water it, and watch it grow over time into a blooming piece of decor! Once it is fully grown, you can collect a seed from it to grow more decor over time!
The following Growable Furniture items are available as seeds through Party People Accomplishments:
Grow All Out Stool
Grow All Out Dining Chair
Grow All Out Dining Table
Grow All Out Couch
Grow All Out Standing Lamp
Exclusive items you can only get from partying, and additional loot from partying as well.
S6 heard "hey we need more gameplay features to encourage us to party up" and went "GOT IT, EXCLUSIVE PARTY FURNITURE"
Was probably content that was already created with the idea of eventually adding it to the gardening guild store once people started to complain of having too many guild credits and nothing else new to buy with them.
I don't think Palia is the game for you.
How else do you think you're supposed to get the party rewards without a party?
