Placing Bugs/Fish/Objects not working

Is anyone else having issues placing Fish, bugs and some items around their houses since the latest update?
I use to be able to grab a fish from my inventory and place it in the house and it would appear in a fish tank. Now I cant.
Also having the same problem with non furniture objects, I wanted to do display cases with diamonds and crystals, but unable to do those too.
Am I missing a step, or doing something wrong? or just broken at current?

Are you making sure you're trying to placed starred quality items?

@CursedXistence, you are a scholar. This is the step I was missing, didnt realise it must be Starred quality, all good now, thank you :D

I wish I could post pics. I can place the fish, but they are simply light blue and dark blue checkered boxes...ther is textures for bugs that I place but literally no textures for fish...

yea its messed up since last patch two days ago, the only thing we can do is wait for devs to fix it.

This is a known bug according to their bulletin board.

Ok so any fish are showing up in dark cases, but all bugs are showing clear and happy. I assume this is what we are talking about? Thanks!

Actually, you can place fish and they show, but no more than 4 big fish. Same with the smaller ones. Just keep it under 4 for each size and they'll show :)
