Fishing Trouble

I recently started doing the Vault Bundles, and for the most part, it's not so bad... until I got to the fishing. Most bundles require a set amount of fish, and while normally I'd say that'd be fine, the fish I need are all Epic/Rare - and impossible to catch.

I've been fishing for the fish I needed for two weeks now. And the closest I got was with the Long-Nosed Unicorn Fish (An Epic Fish) . I was fishing along Bahari Bay's fishing coast for 3 hours trying to get this single fish, and when it finally bit the bait, it escaped almost instantly as it wiggled at the speed of light, forcing me to start the 3 hour long cycle all over again. It was bad enough it took so long to get the fish to bite the bait, but to have it escape so quickly was infuriating. (When it escaped, I let go of my mouse and keyboard and contemplated life for a solid 5 mins)

I normally don't mind fishing for a period of time, but the rare fish you need for the vaults is slowly turning me into an angry little Palian. (Mind you, I also had every possible crutch while fishing: Fisherman's Brew, hook health, etc.)

If the Devs could make fishing a bit more balanced in the sense of the Epic/Rare fish it'd be great as their spawn rate is already low as is, but their escape speed/rate is too complex to make it fair.

Maybe it's just me and I'm a terrible fisherman, but it's the one thing I've found infuriating.

If it can confort you... they are hard to get indeed.
And yes they should make it a bit less frustrating, some fish have 1% chance to appear on normal fishing and about 5% on bubbles.

Best is fishing with someone else, as you can get the buff to hook faster (10%x5) + buff as you mentioned and... pray for your sake.

I agree catching fish for the temple is the worst part haha, but it is based on knowledge, skill and pure luck. Yesterday when I had patience I googled how to get each fish and by pure luck managed to get 5 of them in one Palia day. Use glow worms, fisherman's brew and special hooks for the ones that are escaping. Fish next to someone else to get a bonus and then you can move away from them and keep the bonus for quite a while.

Tip: Use the safe zone size booster hook from Einar and the fisherman's brew you can craft on the campfire.

It's really the only way to catch the epic fish.
