Where can I find recipes to upgrade tools?

I'm brand new, just started playing yesterday, the server chat is dead and not helpful at all. I found the recipe to upgrade my axe but now I need a recipe to make copper bars and I have no idea where to find that recipe. Is there like a recipe store to go to? I'm really lost. I'm just trying to upgrade my tools, I have the copper ore just no recipe for the copper bars

Hover over the skill on your character screen and it tells you who runs the guild store.

each skill has an npc who has a shop related to the skill. Like ashura will have the recipes for the axe upgrades. Once you level up the skill, it'll be unlocked in the npc's shop to buy. then at your crafting bench you can make the upgrade. After that just keep your tools repaired (sifuu's anvil when shes not there). If the upgraded tool loses all its durability, it'll go down a tier and you'll have to "remake" the upgrade at your crafting bench.

i think you go to Hodari for the recipe, if i'm not mistaken and get a smelter..

or sifuu's store..either of them..

You need a smelter to make copper bars. It's a recipe you also unlock with Ashura if I remember correctly.

Ashura is foraging (axe and planks).

Hodari is mining (pick and ores).
