(Bugs) Fertilizer on Cotton farming

been growing cotton for a while as way to make some decent money, (side note, disappointed fabric is now 2 cotton but the same price sadge) and ive noticed fertilizer seems to have werid properties when it comes to cotton that other crops seem to use without issue. Main one ive been dealing with is the Harvest Boost fertilizer and it doesnt seem to be doing any buff and the fertilizer stays around/has stuck around for over like 10 crop rotations. anyone else experiencing funky fertilizer bugs?

Fertiliser doesn't seem to stack with crops which provide the same effect, but crops shouldn't be able to buff themselves so fertiliser should still be consumed as normal. What's your crop layout like and which squares aren't consuming fertiliser?

my layout is 1 line cotton & 1 line wheat, for 5 lines of cotton & 4 of wheat sectioned inbetween each other with 3 soil plots in a line. It could be the non stacking from the wheat benefit, i wasn't aware that played apart lol
