stone floor tiles

so I am hoping someone can help. i am placing the big stone blocks then the flooring connects so its up high. But I keep running into, well i can place a flooring here but not there. It says something is in the way. Which below it nothing, above it near it , nothing. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

ok I figured it out. it makes no sense but here it is, rotate the tiles. It shouldnt matter but it works . whew.
