There is a 'GameUserSettings' file that maybe you could edit to try to lock in the FoV value.
FoV is in there. May or may not hold it's value as it depends when or even if the game is editing this file properly.
Quite often when I see people with games that don't launch properly it can be fixed by changing from fullscreen to windowed of vice-versa and I think that's in there too in case someone wants to test it.

I was able to fix this by checking the box for "Disabling Full-screen overhead Optimization" on PaliaClientSteam and on PaliaClientSteam-Win64-Shipping.

Changing FOV does a blackscreen on my end, 32gigs RAM, RTX 4070 Ti , ... :)

Since S6 has acknowledged the bug, probably not.

Are you able to change your fov in the options or no? Apparently one of the fixes is to try changing your fov which is set to 30 be default to something like 80.

The game is in beta, please keep this in mind (despite the devs doing their best to cover up this fact) and they know about the black screen issue, they just haven't posted a fix yet and haven't given a timeline for it lol
