Ouch prob won't be playing this then lol.
I was hoping this had been changed, but with the reply above, it's pretty clear it hasn't.
I will still retry the game once it releases here, because the fact we can't share a farm was the only flaw I found. But it's kind of an important one. I was hoping we could at least create a new "common" farm for several people at once and each could work on it whenever they felt like it. If they add that, in my opinion, the game would be extremely good.
Thanks for your reply. So sad then. I think there should be a way to share mats and build something together (even if technically the property has only 1 owner).
You must do everything yourself, there are no rich, or poor players, and no way to buy/sell materials between players.
I understand the reasoning behind it, but I would really prefer it if you could work on the same farm with several people.
Currently it seems that everything is basically for solo play and there's no real incentive to play with friends, which is strange in an MMO.
Last time I played was last year at the very start of open beta, so it's possible things have changed since then.
No, its still the same. There is no reason to play with other players, solo is king here.
That's really sad. I enjoy Stardew Valley a lot because you can co-op with friends and work on the same farm.
Was really looking forward to Palia as a sort of "3D alternative", but sadly this won't be it.
I will try it again still, but for co-op I will likely stick with Stardew.
But you can help with building the rooms. So when the plot owner places a blueprint of a room, you can go to the foundation and add the required resources (something like 100 wood and stone, or something), so that the owner doesn't have to farm it by themselves. And then you only have to wait 1 to 10 real time hours till the room is built and you can start decorating. Again: only the owner can place decor and the editor can move the decor, but not add it to their inventory. Because that would be trading and trading is not allowed.
So the issue is no trade or share object that can be used outside the house it was made, cause trading gives u an advantage ? I would just flag the object, blocking it from being used anywhere else. You can build upon this flag and use it in different ways I guess. Can only be used in the house owned by Sierran or who ever owns the house. Or if you have a house together, the flag could just block the party that owns the house from using it outside the house.
And if it’s an advantage to have a party, make it slower to progress if u are in a house with a party so it matches a solo player.
I just feel like, a game like palia want to be casual and get people to play a casual game together, or atleast that was what I expected, wouldn’t this decisions they made remove a big piece of the potential player base. It’s a social game but you are not allowed to team up.
Maybe I don’t understand the full picture here or maybe it’s just my ignorance speaking.
Of course there still were Bots for a while, it is f2p after all.
I do not agree with their decision of no trade. It is in fact one of my major pain points I got with the game since Alpha. But the past has shown: no matter how many good or logical solutions you present, they won't listen.
There is no Trade. Only "Request". They decided that a long while ago and it will probably never change.
I wish it would. I wholly do. Because Palia could be a nice community driven game. But so far, it sadly is not.
Ok thats lame :)
I go back to Palworld :)
