I don't quite understand where all the positive reviews are coming from. I played the game when it first came out- before it was on steam- and tried it again recently after all the updates. It's visually appealing, but it lacks polish in many systematic areas, with a lot of really odd/ bad decisions. The game can really drag and feel slow/ sluggish in some places regarding progress or just general activities like crafting and gathering.

So many things are unnecessarily time-gated, especially when there doesn't seem to be any monetary gain. It's good that you can't pay to skip things like craft time or waiting a week to change your appearance.... why is the time gating there in the first place then?

The map is way too big to not have fast travel, and for some reason teleporting back to your farm has a 25 min+ cooldown? There's a lot of little things like this that really sour the experience of what otherwise feels like should be a great farming sim. instead of focusing on fun and game-play, it's a lot of walking and waiting. Most of these time gates feel like they were added without much reason or thought behind them, and could be removed completely without negatively impacting the game in any way.

The premium store is purely cosmetic and thus largely ignorable, but the pricing on many of the outfits is ridiculously high. Many of the outfits are nice and very quality, but not enough to justify their costs in my opinion. Compound this with the unnecessary week cooldown on character customization, and I'd rather ignore the fashion aspects of the game entirely- which feels really weird for a farming sim with character customization. why restrict it so much?

I want to enjoy this game but realistically speaking, in it's current state i feel like the introduction to the game is so slow and rigid that I could see many people trying the game for a couple hours maybe, and dropping after getting time walled/ restricted by so many things; or just getting bored from how much of the game is walking back and forth around the massive map. The areas do look good at least, the visuals are probably the best part of the game.

I'm disappointed with how many of these shortcomings still exist from when the game first launched. I want this game to be good but I'd really need to see some serious quality of life changes first before recommending it. I've tried looking up patch notes/ developer comments on some of these features. All i found was a very poor and avoidant justification for why there's a week cooldown on customizing your character. So from that perspective, they don't seem to understand why they're adding such restrictions, or aren't willing to be transparent enough to be honest with why there's restrictions like this (like if there's systematic/ server limits).

I'm gonna give this game maybe one more try, and check back in after a few more updates. There's a lot of good here but the little negatives add up quickly and make for a very unpleasant, tedious, and boring experience. I'd love to see some of these early pitfalls addressed because the game feels like it's very close to being something special otherwise.

Typical "cozy game" that seems really polished. However I refuse to support any game that uses "600% VALUE!!" mobile game type of false marketing on their store. Just present the price and stop following scummy mobile trends.

While the game has a lot of potential, it can be very obtuse for new players on how to properly acquire resources like gold. Also, the crafting system is done in a way where it takes forever for most crafting ingredients to be done, with 1 wood plank taking a full minute to be done and in order to build a house you need 100 of those.
It's obviously a F2P game that wants you to spend time in the world and taking it easier, but the pace was way too slow for my liking.

Also, the character design for the NPCs is not great and I didn't feel strongly about any of them, or really wanting to get to know them better.
