Why do you need a Day mode, for a game called NIGHT-Runners?
Yea, isn't the whole thing about "*NIGHT* racing" to race in the dead of night without that much traffic?
Daytime: If you've played the game(s) this is based on (Shotokou Highway battle / Tokyo Xtreme Racer), all the races are at night. It's a thing about the scene, they race at night bc less police presence and avoiding traffic, let alone a HUGE part of the aestethic.
Cities: there are literally videogames (several more other than i mentioned) devoted to the highway(s) featured in this game... the C1 inner/outer in itself is legendary - but even tokyo xtreme expanded it to several more connected highways and I'd love to see that myself bc this is the closest thing to a current-gen TXR reboot.
Weather: I believe TXR pulled off weather and it WOULD be a cool rng for your track nights bc slightly slippery and it could maybe maybe affect opponents too (but also maybe have some opps actually drive BETTER in rain than others). That WOULD mean literally programming the AI for EVERY opp* 2x though (one for dry, one for wet) and honestly, it could make for an easy exploit if its not done right if most drivers suck in the rain.
*Also, I'm assuming like in the TXR games, EVERY single opp has its own driving/handling AI. I could be wrong.
Traffic: I'd love to see more diverse traffic too, you could only see so many same-colored '86 accords before it messes with your immersion.
Cause I think it would be nice to have more traffic at day to just drive around...
The early morning or sth has such a great mood
