Do other games do what this game does?
I gotta say I'm absolutely thrilled by this game. I've never been FORCED to learn how to drive manual in a racing game before because of the nature of the car, I've never been forced to toggle handbrake because my current handbrake operates that way! There are so many things that actually get forced upon you in gameplay due to the current equipment of your vehicle and I've never really experienced that in my arcady racing games. I gotta ask, are they any other types of games that do this?

Also god this game is so damn nice.

don't think there's other games that i think of that'll let you know manual transmission is better than automatic (unless you count Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune or Initial D) or having handbrake as a toggle instead of holding it.

it's still great either way, despite some shortcomings like you've said.

I highly recommend the Shutokou Battle series as it takes a lot of inspiration from those titles. The third game is my personal favorite as it not only has a pretty huge open world Tokyo map but also two other cities in Osaka and Nagoya. It's a 2004 game so it shows its age, but it taught me a lot about cars.
