Was doing this until they stopped showing up entirely. Now every single night the only cars i can race are well over 100hp above me, which doesn't matter because even the 200hp guy kicks my ass now that the AI has been fully unleashed after night 1. No idea what to do now. I can't make more to increase my ride and I can't beat anybody that actually shows up to the PA anymore.

Ima give you a lil secret. The better your rep, the better the cars that show up at the PA, so to keep that from happening, you gotta lower your rep to keep those lower end racers on the scene.
So you ask, how does one lower their rep??? There's no direct way to do that??? Right???

WRONG

There is a way, and a rather quick way to do it too.

Heres how you do it.
When you start a race, when your at the racing line, and you start breathing heavy, waiting for the guy to flash the light, hit the gas to start the race early. The game will say you jumped, and then start over. Do this again, and again, and again, you will start to lose rep with each jump. Keep doing that over and over until you get to under 1k rep, then finish the race, end the night and return to the PA, The cars there should be returned to the low rep state.

So you can continue to bully Deisuke, and not worry about being forced to race S.K. when your not ready.

Brilliant! Thank you so much for this. Currently I'm just trying to build my car and I was just assuming that that it was an arms race to keep your car faster than the ones showing up. I ended up getting lucky and racing somebody way above my horsepower, they crashed and I used that to upgrade my cam and got myself out of that loop, but I'm just about to be stuck in one again. I'll definitely do this jumping the start trick to get back to my own hp range and focus on finishing the car visually. Again thank you so much, this tip is HUGE and should be pinned!

Keep your Rep very low so you can keep racing with weaker racers. This will not apply when you finally beat the Star Tamer where the game expects you not to f*ck around anymore.
