The map is based on a real life location. Look up a street map of Koto City and compare it to Night-Runners' map. The general layout of the major highways and the area names are the same.

Of course two or more games in the same genre, set in the same location, will likely feature very similar maps.
If anyone broke any copyright laws, it would be the first game to outright copy the layout and names of this real-life location. However, I don't think public locations are copyright protected, so... no copyright should be infringed upon.

I'm not a lawyer tho, so hey, maybe both games are in the wrong lmao.

No I'm saying these are maps that are publicly available downloads for the game Asseto Corsa that were ripped from Tokyo Racer 3. Don't care enough to look it up. Kickstarter page even mentions adding more to the highway and an Oi Wharf map. The highway being a map that was ripped from Tokyo Racer, then modified and made available for the Asseto Corsa community to play on, over several years. I'm imagining the developer thinks he found some loophole to not charge any money for this, and only release it as free, or take in donations. Lol. Which is funny because the base of the game without stealing assets looks decent, but the shady map stealing just sours the whole thing. Not my problem just thought it was funny to point out.

Is there some comparison shots for this? I played all the txr games and while I haven't played this game for long I didn't recognize any of the scenery, but its also been a while.

Your "proof" consists of just 2 links, of which one is to a map who's developer already said was ripped entirely from another game and one to a completely unrelated map that's not even represented in the game.

What are you trying to prove here? That if a game is planning to put in a M1911 pistol in the future and then you come in and post a link to a M1911 model and accuse the dev of copying??

I’ve played on the SRP Map and the N.R map is only comparable in the sense of them both being Tokyo city maps. N.R does not copy or take anything from SRP’s map. Ps thankyou for the reward, Ik you was trying to farm them but I got one instead.

Op must not realize the shuto expressway is a real highway in japan lol. SRP is an almost identical map on the actual highway. NR map is very different from SRP played a lot on it.
