Attention: Known issues and how to fix them

At this time there’re several bugs in the game. We’re working on fixes, but there are some ways to neutralize them.

Issue: If you click on any pop-up message (like Skype notification), the game crashes with error "Can't restore all surfaces (0x8876024B)”.
Solution: Avoid using such programs while playing.

Issue: in the 3d mission of Vitals campaign after the ship docks the hero model it not showing. It doesn’t show if you return to the ship.
Solution: Load the latest save file and restart the game.

Issue: In the Diamanda campaign (4th level) not all textures are loaded.
Solution: Save the game, load this save file.

Issue: When playing in windowed mode on a notebook (1366x738) the “Start” button is shown and if you move your cursor to the taskbar all opened folders and programs start blinking.
Solution: Try to play in the fullscreen mode.

Issue: If you try to turn the second monitor on or off the game might crash with a critical error.
Solution: Turn the second monitor off before launching the game.

Issue: If you set 16bit colors graphic artifacts appear on the cursor.
Solution: Don’t launch the game with 16bit colors (32bit is set by default).

Issue: After launching the game works in compatibility mode (Run.cmd) and Steam counts it as the actual game client. When thr Run.cmd closes and the real game client opens, your Steam friends will see your status as “online”, not “Playing Etherlords 2”. Because of this some Steam functions are not available (overlay, screenshots, etc.).
Solution: This feature is currently unavailable. This issue will get fixed soon.

Issue: After loading the game a bat-file appears followed up by a black screen (like the one before the cinematic), after which the game crashes to desktop.
Solution: Wait a bit and try to launch the game again.

If you have problem with main menu freeze, solution is change parameter FPSIndependentCursor to 0 in settings.ini.

Oddly enough my issue isn't a graphical error at all... and on top of that I've been able to run the game before no problem. For some reason however I keep getting a TCP/IP ping error and I have no clue why 0_o... But whatever the reason it prevents me from opening the game no matter what I do...

Wait I found a solution. Turns out you might not be able to play it if you have it installed on a seperate hard drive. I have multiple drives in my system for seperating work and games etc. and so after reinstalling this game on my C: drive I discoverd it works perfectly fine. Go figure.

Hi can you help me i cant seem to play the game like it loads up first cinematic, and second cinematic fine then it crashes. ); and if i hit ESC to skip it instantly crashes Please help<3

None of these Fixes seem to work for me, the game launches but crashes with unknown error and there are a lot of visual glitches.
I used to play the non-steam version on XP and it worked great, but this version on Win 7 is just too buggy.

I also have windows 10 and the game works fine for me. So the problem isn't your OS.

Hello, can you tell me game id in Steam? I make some in-game screenshots with PrtScr button, and want add them to my Steam library. i'm need only id number to create folder in userdata

Guys, i did not needed any kind of tool or administrator settings, I only did this(and my uncle and a few friends too with different versions of windows and pc specs. Do this in system settings (see pics for details) just one more thing too solve and its good to goo. anyone who can just let it hear.

I'm playing on a GOG version, but I just had a crash to desktop so I wanted to report it. I was playing a standalone duel. I chose the Gases set against a random opponent which turned out to be an Aviak. I managed to defeat the Aviak and then took enough damage myself to die in the same round. Crash, no win or lose screen or anything.

Добрый день, я установил и запустил игру. Перед началом выходит командная строка на которой написано Etherlords 2 is closed press any key to continue. Затем игра запускается все отлично работает, но вместо иконок вроде начать игру загрузить и тому подобное просто знаки вопросов

when i open the game it goes through the opening 2 scenes but when i get to the menu and click on something it just crashes, any fix for this?

@Lilem - ошибка при подключении к серверу. Пожалуйста, поднимите Мастер-сервер, он упал. Master Server is down, pls fix it.
