Remaster/Etherlords 3?
I really liked etherlords 1 & 2. I wonder if they will remake them with updated programming? I am hoping there will be an etherlords 3 someday

with all of the card games these days, I doubt it. Too much competition for a game that nobody knows about.

I really want a new game like Etherlords, or Shandalar, some form of RPG with exploration and a deep card-like battle system, such a shame that all digital CCGs are now literately just digital versions of the real card game, making a killing off virtual card packs.(Now they don't even eat the manufacturing cost of producing the cards).

As much as I want it, I find it hard to believe such a game would ever be made because it is just so much more profitable to create a barebones card game with digital card packs people have to buy.

Etherlords 3 would be great!

Etherlords 3. I wish.
Should easily outperform other card games. All the recent rogue or similar CG are copies of each other, Etherlords 3 would be a breath of fresh air.

It's really weird that this genre died off and never came back once TCGs/CCGs became popular with the mainstream audience. Who knows, maybe some day one of the bigger indie companies will remember that this genre exists and we might see a revival of the genre, like what happened with CRPGs a few years ago. This and Shandalar were both awesome games.

Elemental was the game that got me hooked on this style of game. After the devs finished 'updating' Elemental into a pile of dog turds, i had to get out and find something new and i found Etherlords 2 ... love it!

It would be great ^^ for example, if we follow Alpha storyline, in the end when we defeat Diamanda scientist try power up teleport and say something about fragment of teleporter and that they need to bring stronger equipment in order to find where portal leads...
A brand new campaign in pale world ^^
Or another special time of change would be also great ^^

You wouldnt even need to do all that... to rejuvinate Etherlords 2, all you would need to do is give people the options to mix up the races to do each others campaigns and face the end boss.

Personally, i would pay real money to be allowed to run my Eileen character right to the end!

Competition? Hardly, because their all sh-t, even Etherlords 1 is sh-t. This is the ONLY card using game i found that wasn't sh-t.

I should clarify... of all the games i have seen that use a similar system to Etherlords 2, they may well be great games, but there is always some attribute popping up in those other games that i did not like. For example, Etherlords 1 - the prickly thing that popped up in that game that i dispised and hated was the horrendously inconsistant easy difficulty level.

Etherlords 2 is unique in the way it ticked all the boxes for me and did not annoy me with some prickly attribute i don't like.

Any hope for this to happen?

Out of curiosity I decided to look around a bit, Nival's website doesn't even mention Etherlords 1 & 2, instead it has "Etherlords", which I can only describe as a new Etherlords(Old though, since it was released around 2013-2014), made from the ground up to be a mobile only game, and looking at their other more recent games, unfortunately it seems the company fell down the microtransaction rabbit hole... :steamsad:

I still wish for a proper Etherlords remake/sequel, or a Shandalar remake/sequel, or some other game in the same spirit, I just don't see it happening.
