As much as I want it, I find it hard to believe such a game would ever be made because it is just so much more profitable to create a barebones card game with digital card packs people have to buy.
Should easily outperform other card games. All the recent rogue or similar CG are copies of each other, Etherlords 3 would be a breath of fresh air.
A brand new campaign in pale world ^^
Or another special time of change would be also great ^^
You wouldnt even need to do all that... to rejuvinate Etherlords 2, all you would need to do is give people the options to mix up the races to do each others campaigns and face the end boss.
Personally, i would pay real money to be allowed to run my Eileen character right to the end!
Competition? Hardly, because their all sh-t, even Etherlords 1 is sh-t. This is the ONLY card using game i found that wasn't sh-t.
Etherlords 2 is unique in the way it ticked all the boxes for me and did not annoy me with some prickly attribute i don't like.
I still wish for a proper Etherlords remake/sequel, or a Shandalar remake/sequel, or some other game in the same spirit, I just don't see it happening.
