Hate to brake it to ya, but this game has been dead for the better part of 20 years.

So any community made scenarios and campaigns that were made when this game was new, have likely been scattered to the four winds. And give how graphically dated the sounds and visuals are, I don't see to much community content coming out of this game in the near future.

In short. Your on your own, sadly.

Thank you...of course there won't be any new works on it....but 25 years ago, there were a lot of non officials extra scenarios and campaigns made and well done.....if anyone can propose a link to find it.

Your pretty much out of luck on that front as well. Trust me, I looked, and I can't find anything about an archive of old user made content.

It's all just dust in the wind.

Fortunately, there is an archive collection of user made content, that contains as much as possible:

Well I'll be damned!

The question now is if this old content still works.

Well, do these almost 30 year old mods still work? Cause I'm honestly thinking about picking this game up, now that I've had some time to look at it.
This is not a bad thing, you can create your own with the editor. It can be fun to research and make your own battles and campaigns, you may view your research give different values to units and terrain changes. this was a very good game in its time and if you don't mind the lack of over the top graphics then its good now.

Yes, amazingly, the 30 year old mods still work.

Much less fiddly than getting DosBox to run it does the PBEM funceiton still work as well ?

So...how do I install these mod's and get them working?

The are instructions on the mods at https://archive.org/details/wargamer-depot_age-of-rifles found it is best to set up several copies if the game one for each mod on you PCN at the same time. You can also get extra downloads of the game there for free. While you have to set it up you don't have to resize the screen every time you launch it. However the edition of the Manual you can get on Steam is better than the one there and I think the Steam version si a bit stabler to run particularly if you playing campaigns using PBEM.

I happen to have all the stuff that was uploaded on AlternateWars, before the site got rebranded, and also Turtler's collection from, unfortunately, now-defunct MEGA upload. If my memory is not failing me, I believe that Turtler's collection included some of the missing scenarios that weren't on the AlternateWars and other sites, and were considered to be missing completely. However, I can't say if my collections have all of the stuff that is said to be missing on the Internet Archive download page, but I am sure that I do have the first and second Schleswig War scenarios. Really sad to see how many scenarios, campaigns, and mods for the game ended up being completely lost.

I still have an extra campaign pack on my old laptop. Plenty of scenarii like the American theater of the 7 years war or war in Vendée.
I've not tried the link of Solyom, feel free to MP me so that I post it if needed ; I'll upload it somewhere if his link is also dead.

PS : If you speak French and want a preview of the scenarii by "cyberstratege" (that appear in the link provided by Solyom), you can read this old magazine here : https://www.abandonware-magazines.org/affiche_mag.php?mag=73&page=1
Among the first pages of each magazine, there is the content of each cd-rom with some images and explanation.
