While pets have fun skins including rare skins, the secret ones are just from buying fish. The most rare fish is only spawned by meeting certain requirements and its still 1 in 25000 chance. (but if you have an autoclicker you should get it within a day of letting it run.
My attempt at teasters for those who like solving puzzles (DM me for the answers!)
1/10000 chance- One fish that is secret literally can spawn from buying any fish. It's a playful guy and likes to announce it's pressence with a squeak!
1/10000 chance- A second fish comes back to you. There's a rattle and maybe a fish you weren't planning on keeping stubbornly returns to float quietly around your tank.
1/25000 chance- The last fish is a legend. If you look into some eastern lore, there was once a fish that accomplished something amazing to transform into something totally new. This guy really likes hoarding shinies. Though triggering his transformation might require one or 2 extra things to make the habitat suitable for them to make the leap!
Starting fish breed: Butterfly Koi
What I did: I changed a fully-upgraded tank's background and substrate to gold and then placed at least two of each plant, coral, and decoration (especially gold chests). Then I set the auto sorter to filter out every category, including rares (secret fish won't get auto-sold no matter the settings). Finally, I spam-bought a bunch of koi right under the auto sorter so each (except the chosen one) would get instantly sold. Took ~5 minutes of spam buying.
What happened: Eventually, I noticed a common-skinned koi break away from the vacuum genocide of the auto sorter and go towards my amalgamation of plants/corals/decos. It then started to shine and vibrate, eventually turning into a Dragon!! Thanks Magickarp
