Very Specific Save-file Corruption Issue

Hey devs!

So I live in a rural town that is prone to power outages, and lo and behold, we had a power outage!

Unfortunately I was very late into the game when the power went out: I was grinding secret ending

Now when I try to load my save (pressing the Load button) literally nothing happens, so I am assuming my save is corrupted.

Its no big deal, I am pretty certain I can get back there pretty quick to finish, but I was SO close and its so sad.

If you want me to send you any logs, let me know.

In the future I recommend all players not to suffer power outages while playing this game haha.

EDIT: Okay nevermind this actually became a real problem, because I just realised pressing the New Game button ALSO does nothing now. It looks like the save file corruption has broken the game completely for me. I will look into deleting my save and see if that fixes it.

EDIT 2: Deleting the saves from *\AppData\LocalLow\Isto\Get To Work\SaveSlot0 did not help. Verifying the game cache also didn't work.

EDIT 3: Deleting all of *\AppData\LocalLow\Isto\Get To Work\* didn't work. Uninstalling reinstalling didn't work.

EDIT 4 and SOLUTION: I had to turn of Steam Cloud Saves and also delete *\AppData\LocalLow\Isto\Get To Work\*. Best I can tell it looks my Cloud Save was corrupted. Anyway time to get back to work! Hope this helps someone if needed.

In my case, yeah its a complete restart. I think the save file is corrupted.

I cannot find \AppData\LocalLow\Isto\Get To Work\ on my computer anywhere. I was on the very last jump of the ending and my power went out. I have the exact same problem and I turned off Steam cloud saves. Any advice?

Edit: Showing hidden items work! And starting up a new game now.

Typically the app data is a "hidden" folder.
1. Open File Explorer
2. If you hit "View > Show > Hidden items" It should let you see app data.

If not, i'll make sure to check back and see if this helped

I have the same problem, my pc crashed ingame and now i can not load save or create new game.. wont allow me to play the game. Tried to uninstall the game. delete files. nothing works? i can click on settings and stuff but thats it

Make sure to turn off Cloud Saves. It looks like the corrupted save gets put into the Cloud, and then pulled back down after the re-install.
