Saved games don't open on Mac

I know it's not the most widly used operating system on the planet, but still..... I can play the game perfectly on my mac (OS 10.10.5) and I can save games/progress but when I come back later to resume playing, by clicking any of the saved games, it just crashes *immediately*.

This means I have to keep on playing this from the beginning all over and over again! Very annoying.

It looks like it won't take much longer than half an hour to play through completely but I don't always have a half hour.

I'm curious to know if others found the same bug.
