The game already doesn't really have that much content as it is, it has like 10 tricks.. and 4 maps, a huge amount of bugs and issues AND you're ALREADY increasing the price?
Massive L
The game cost 15,99 at launch of early access, and has since gotten multiplayer, much more customization, tricks & movement updates, 1 new map, 2 new games modes, and with the next update, even a lot more :) Nothing questionable about it, just financing production and whats to come! The price increase is also something that was transparently communicated since launch, hopefully this clears it up for ya!
Dont know if you're aware but hollow knight is around the same price and it's one of the best selling games of all time, you have about 1% of content worth compared to Hollow knight. If hollow knight is considered one of the best games all time and your game is the same price with barely any content then you're messing up
Comparing my game to others is not how I value my game at all, so I respectfully disagree. I do realise I cannot please everyone, that is unfortunately something I've had to come to terms with, but I stand with the reasoning behind my price increase, and hopefully that's something you can respect as well. I do appreciate constructive feedback, and do also consider it - but my game is a parkour sandbox, and I value it based on the hours of fun it provides, as well as based on the resources, time, and effort required to bring such an experience to players worldwide, and not based on how long the achievement list is, and how many collectables and missions there are. It is a parkour game, and that's exactly what it provides - this is coming from a place of love and passion I have for my project, so I hope you can understand I will always have some element of wanting to protect the value I see in it, as do many others who have played the game and are actively engaging with it, and loving it :)
Just want to chime in here to say that you've no need to justify your decision. It's supported. This is YOUR vision, YOUR project, YOUR art and only YOU get to decide what that's worth...and $4 is nothing, especially since you added something like MP when you had no initial intention to do so.
In my opinion, that alone is worth the measley four dollars.
You really don't have anything better to do than try and bother one of the few solid indie devs out there? Success isn't measured by trying to compare yourself with a completely ridiculous standard.
If you can't afford 20 bucks for a good game, just say that.
The person you are arguing with already owns the game. Just because you disagree, doesn't make their opinion invalid. Expecting the same amount of content as Hollow Knight is unrealistic, but being unhappy with the value of the current content makes sense. I haven't bought the game yet because that parts I'm interested in (variety of tricks and progression based challenges) haven't been expanded on as much as I'd like, meanwhile the parts I don't value have been. (multiplayer and its gamemodes)
