"Ku" pronunciation = "anus" pronunciation in Portuguese
The sound of the pronunciation of "Ku" is exactly the same as the pronunciation of a pejorative way of saying "anus" in Portuguese. Just to let you know that almost 1 billion native Portuguese speakers around the world read this game name and laugh.

ps: I don't know why Steam blacklist the word "anus", since it's not a dirty word, it's just an anatomical part of our body. Everybody has a hole by which we expel feces.

yep, we're well aware of that, thanks. Cant please all the people all the time! (Ku is based on a mythical figure from Ireland, Cú Chulainn - which I believe is the ACTUAL spelling of the word you refer to!)

hahahahaha that's sufficiently near the actual spelling.

The dev is right. Many words have a funny translation in other languages and it's near impossible to avoid this fact.

It's perfectly avoidable, you just have to check for the 4 or 5 most spoken languages around the world before releasing a title. A phonetic dictionary or a dictionary with "close words" could be used to check pronunciation too. It would take less than 10 minutes.

But I'm glad they didn't do it hahahaha

Anyway, they are using a word that is part of irish folk tradition. I don't think they should change the word just for that. Think about the football player Kaká...isn't that name funny? At least it sounds like ♥♥♥♥ for many countries.

hahahaha I guess Kaka parents didn't get paid to choose a name for him lol
