How to play Maestro with HTC VIVE

Step 1: Access Your Controller Settings

  1. Open SteamVR on your computer.
  2. Click the "Menu" icon (the three bars) in the top-left corner.
  3. Select "Settings", then go to the "Controllers" tab.
  4. Click on "Manage Controller Bindings".

Step 2: Edit the Button Bindings

  1. In the action list, find the "Trigger" (gadget or input).
  2. You’ll see that the default state is "unused."
  3. Change this state to "Action" (or the top option in the list).
  4. Make sure to do this for both triggers: the right controller and the left controller.

Step 3: Assign Actions to Each Controller

  1. Go to the Options tab.
  2. For the right controller, assign the action "Right Controller Trigger."
  3. Repeat the process for the left controller, selecting "Left Controller Trigger."

Step 4: Save Your Settings

  1. Click "Save" or "Apply" to confirm your changes.
  2. Restart SteamVR if needed to make sure the new settings take effect.

Step 5: Go Practice!
